Paper Angels

Paper Angel is a term of endearment used at Cosmo to describe the residents and businesses in Saskatoon who give us their documents for confidential shredding or donate their newspaper and cardboard for recycling. The relationship between Cosmo and the citizens of Saskatoon is a long and deep one. Our Participants are thankful for the opportunities created by all our Paper Angels and are proud of the contribution that they have made to the community. Over the past 35 years, hundreds of thousands of people and businesses have chosen to be Paper Angels. When you use Cosmo Shred for your document destruction needs you are a Paper Angel for making a difference in the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities.




		BHP Billiton enabled Cosmo Shred to get NAID certification

	Fostering Understanding With the support of The StarPhoenix, Cosmo is sponsoring a contest to give names to our Paper Angel mascots. We invite you to enter our contest or to provide this information to your children. It is a great opportunity to foster awareness of the role that persons with intellectual disabilities play in our community and the nature of their disability. It will also give your child an opportunity to help shape the future of Cosmopolitan Industries as we serve the citizens of Saskatoon through ventures such as Cosmo Shred.


		BHP Billiton as a Paper Angel We approached the National Association for Document Destruction (NAID) to give us their advice on creating a shredding facility that would meet their standards. Thanks to the assistance of BHP Billiton, we were able to build our newly upgraded confidential shredding operation within Cosmo and achieve TRIPLE A certification by NAID. We are grateful for the faith that BHP Billiton has shown in our Participants and in recognizing that adults with intellectual disabilities are a valuable resource for the community. We thank them for being a Paper Angel in creating opportunities for our Participants through confidential shredding.
