finish in our document collection and shredding process keeps you compliant with respect to legislation for your business.
- Upon pick up of confidential material, our collection vehicles remain locked at all times. No material is left unattended at any time unless locked in our collection vehicles.
- Material brought back to Cosmo for shredding is either shredded immediately or is stored temporarily in a locked, secured and alarmed area.
- Our building intrusion alarm system is serviced by Insurguard and monitored by Securtek. Cosmo has a second tier alarm system within the building where confidential material is stored until shredded.
- Material is shredded into 3/8 inch wide strips and baled into a large compact bale/bundle, which is fastened with several steel wires.
Baled material is shipped via bonded carriers to paper mills in Canada and the United States who re-pulp the material in order to include it as post secondary fibre into a new product.
- A certificate of destruction is provided on destruction of the material.
- All employees are subject to a Police Record check and those handling your documents are bonded.
Effective August 1, 2010 our minimum charge is $34.80 for the first 150 lbs, and anything abouve 150 lbs will be charged $0.20 per lb (ig 200 lbs = $44.80 + GST) |
